Please do not use your fingernail to check for splits as it induces splits. We have had many shoes destroyed at doll shows from many hands re-checking in the same sense as fruit getting bruised at the market from so many people checking ripeness.

The original Senior Prom shoes had divots to mount the pearls which unfortunately made them even more predisposed to splitting. 

This particular pair is NOT original Mattel pearls. This is a normal green open-toe shoe that someone stuck pearls onto but they display well.
