Mostly black and white pictures with some color. Book is shelf worn and pages are aged to that cozy old cream color. From the opening note from the authors: "This is not a pretty picture book about dolls for those who like to look and run. It is not a price book, nor a parade of a collection, nor a dictionary to compete with the excellent ones already available. Rather it is a textbook on how to collect dolls. It is designed for both the novice, eager to invest in a new hobby about which she knows almost nothing, and for the established collector who searches for special dolls, undeterred by their scarcity."
